Of course you've heard of Peru with its Nasca lines, Cusco and Machu Picchu. Although very interesting and a "must see", Peru has much more to offer. We would like to explore the North of Peru on a motorcycle and we'd like to do it with you! That's why we are planning this pilot tour. This part of the country has not (yet) been discovered by tourists, but it contains several important natural and cultural highlights. You will be able to experience the real Peru and visit places you've never heard of before. If the "unknown" and "non-touristic" is what you are looking for, this is your tour.
NOTE: This is a pilot-tour !!! For us this is a tour to the unknown, so things can (and will) be different than the tour-description below.
We'll take you from the coastal desert around Lima to the high Andes and down the eastern slopes into the Amazon rainforest. Dirt track lovers will appreciate this tour, because the asphalt to gravel ratio is about 50/50, which will tax your riding skills and endurance!
This is going to be a great adventure and since this is a pilot tour, we can offer it to you at a very attractive price.
Highlights:
• Huaraz: City on the slopes of the highest mountain in Peru - Huascarán (22,204 ft / 6,768 m.)
• Cajamarca: Wonderful Spanish colonial city with ancient Inca baths
• Amazon rain forest: A wild off-road experience
• Kuelap: Amazing pre-Inca Chachapoyas culture
• Huancayo: Famous for it's textiles, silver jewelry and carved gourds
• Islas Ballestas: The "Poor man's Galapagos" islands
